Sky Ranch of Ocala is opening up this prime location for the artist and crafts persons in the area, and beyond, to display and sell their arts and crafts at a rate that all of us starvin’ artist can afford – Free! (For now anyway) Once the word gets out and it evolves into a full blown twice a month Arts and Crafts Fair the cost for setting up will remain low enough for all to afford (about $15). The setting is perfect with lots of shade, parking, access and it’s located on a busy highway (CR200A – Old Jax Rd).
The concept is that there is a need for a place where artist and crafty folks can display their stuff without it costin’ an arm and a leg! Only handmade arts and crafts! No junk sales, yard sales and stuff from China will be allowed! We want to keep it strictly American!
I hope to have it as a full blown fair by the spring of 2010, but for now every Saturday you can come and join me along the right-of-way and show your stuff to the world! If you are like me and are a starvin’ or fledgling artist, then this is just what ya need to get it out there!
